You can’t please all the people all the time.
I hate to gripe here, but I have to vent, maybe I’ll take this back down later, but right now, I want to share, you see, I’ve spent this entire day working on taking photos and catching up on adding in new items. It was a postal holiday so nothing could be sent out anyway, I thought it a good day to focus on adding as many pictures as possible. Then I get this, from a Librarian no less…

I recently received a package of three of the M40s.
They looked great in the earlier photo you had – I see you’ve changed it to show that they are baggy. I think this should be mentioned in the write up, as I was quite disappointed with the way they do not stay up, even though they have 15 inches of elastic and my legs about 21 inches at the largest part of my thighs (and they do fit nicely all the way to the top of my legs, they just don’t stay there).
As a matter of fact, what you do say on your website:
“The top 15 inches are ribbed to keep them up forever, the legs are a flat knit for a slimmer appearance even if you have wide legs”, is completely misleading, since they don’t stay up at all, and therefore can’t possibly give a slimmer appearance.
Needless to say, I won’t be buying anything else from the website as I will be wondering if the pictures and information about the product are representative of what I’d be receiving.
You know, they aren’t for everyone, is there anything in life that is? let alone a style of socks??? Many people love these socks, myself being one, and while they may not stay up perfectly forever I’ve yet to have a pair fall down and my thighs are slimmer than hers. It saddens me that there are people in the world who live their lives this way, spreading that form of negativity. Of course, I will update the wording, I never mean to mislead anyone. Okay, rant over, I have some really cute socks to share in a bit, I just need to get them added to the site…

what a sweet comment stella :O) so glad you have found sock dreams! I too am a pretty picky sock wearer… I used to have drawers of socks that I could not wear, now I have so many choices of ones I can wear. I have not tried the M stripes yet, but I adore the M40s and Super Ms. Yay for happy toes!!!

Everything is Relative! this is why you sell the garters I thought! wow, what a thing to complain about! Don’t worry sis, you are still the best~ a sock goddess~ and your wording suits me just fine.

i love my M40′s but i scrunch all my long socks down, so thi hi’s end up as knee highs and the super m’s are even better

oh too bad…. i love my M40s. even though they dont stay up on me perfectly (i think it is the shape of my legs, cause i seem to have that problem with all otk socks). i thought it is pretty clear on the site that unless otherwise stated, the comments Niq makes about each style of sock directly relates to how they fit her (cause we are all different shapes and sizes, and lots of socks are just one size). I am sad that this person wants to give up all the socks here because they think they have been mislead. I hope that they stick around long enough to realize that they can find the best socks here and that Niq bends over backwards to make sure ALL toes are happy and cozy. I am wondering if she perhaps would do better with a pair of the 40 or 50 inch longsocks?

Funnily, the M40s stay up wonderfully on me, far better than any of the many others I’ve bought on this site! I figure it’s common sense that items will fit different bodies differently, so I order stuff and hope for the best — not that I haven’t always been thrilled.

Aw, thanks sooo much!!! nothing beats a negative review like alot of positive feedback! as long as so many of you like them I won’t worry a bit about the rare person who doesn’t ~:)

Gosh,that lady was negative.I just got my first M40′s & M stripes and adore them.I’m a dancer,and so picky I have “left” and “right” socks,yet I couldn’t be more pleased at the beauty and comfort. They don’t bind my bunions or make painful sock lumps & thickness is perfect.They even fit in pointe shoes ,which is a rare treat.I’m delighted and already thinking of which socks I want next . You literally filled some sock dreams for me..they’re heavenly

Sorry to hear about this…I have a pair of M40s myself and while the feet are a little big for mine and they’re not perfect, I love them nonetheless.
