Dreamers Recommend: Extraordinary Striped Thigh Highs
We clearly love socks here, but some socks we love more than others. “Dreamers Recommend” highlights the current favorite style of one of our Sock Dreamers.

Current favourite style: Extraordinaries [which are just a taller version of the Dream Stalker Stripes Kori is wearing above -Brenna]
Did you like this sock when we first started carrying it, or did you hate it and grow to love it?
These socks were a winner from day one! A true OTK on me, these sweet babies fit my chubby little calves and thighs without discomfort or bulging, and they ALSO fit my tiny little feet and ankles! These are the best socks EVER!
What is the best thing about this particular style?
Well, not only do they fit me beautifully, but they are gorgeous! And they’re made in the US too, and eco-friendly… I mean, these socks are the whole package!
How’s the fit?
Oh, and did I mention that they FIT! EVERYWHERE! From my 6.5USW feet to my 22 inch thighs, they fit perfectly, but the true magic of these socks is that they fit legs larger than mine… and they fit legs smaller than mine… and feet larger… and calves curvier… and legs longer… I mean, they’re EXTRAORDINARY!
Who would you recommend this style for?
Everyone who likes long socks!
Anything else?

thanks for clearing up the dream stalker/longer version extraordiares…i thought so from the fiber content but was not 100%. i adore the dreamstalkers so this is good to know for possible other color combos. one great thing about these socks different from some of the dream line is that the feet fit better i think – dont get saggy- the whole sock has a great fit. i truthfully think the dreamstalkers are my favorite sock (ok- true- probably only until the next greatest sock comes out by SD
. oh hey – i am lying already!!the vertically checkered OTKs are my very fav and then the stalkers and then cotton inklined which have been my favs since they were created but i wish and dream for an all black version (and sadly the all white version is no longer – my all time fav all white sock). and another ive been loving is the cotton slouch sock (great colors!). and has everyone noticed all the omarled colors!!!!!!!!!!!! ok ok but really i do LOVE the dreamstalkers and will check out the extraordinaries for other color options!!!! thanks for this fantastic review!!!!!! SOOOO happy about all the journaling going on again!!!!!!!!!! old skool!
Not a problem! The Dreamer Socks line does have a distinctly different (and slightly magical) foot from the DreaM Stockings—it’s a little more fitted and covers a wider range of stretch. The Dream Stalkers, like the Vertically Checkered OTKs, are what we’ve taken to calling a “knee sock”, they go over most knees, but can be cuffed under as well. The Extraordinaries are undeniably an over the knee or thigh high, so they’ll be great for you as we get closer to real sock weather!
I am a little crazy over the new O Marled colours and need to decide which to get, because once the temperatures start dropping here, I am going to be living in them!

you must!!! the mustard/charcoal are supreme! i want to order about 10 pair to make sure i have them for the rest of my life. and the picture of them here on the site is so gorgeous!!
raubynn: i know! the picture is so ♥♥♥ i bought 2 more pairs of bubblegum/white socks when SD said they will discontinue this colour combo. sooo glad that i did.

Calico- wow!!! uummm….thats really outrageous! i am blushing – i never even considered any one noticed me on the nets. ah shucks!
and i havent taken a sock pic in absolute ages.

I have to agree, these socks are wondrous. I ordered a couple of pairs after my darling got me a gift card (as well as some Foot Traffic combed cotton tights… I can never resist spending a bit more than the sum of a giftcard xD) hoping they’d do my thighs a little better than the M stripes, and did they ever! I can wear them nearly to the tops of my legs (I think my thighs at their largest point are around 18 inches, but I’m extraordinarily… squishy… so I tend to have a lot of trouble with constricting socks) with very little squish. Because I got the striped ones, they are a bit long on me and slightly difficult to cuff properly because of the colors, but I usually prefer my legs to be completely covered anyway, so being able to wear them comfortably all the way up is a definite plus.
If my budget and conscience allow, I may be snapping up some solids…
Hi, I’d be really interested to hear more about thigh highs that fit large-ish thighs! I also have small feet and big thighs, and have had trouble especially with cottony stockings. I’ve size 6 feet and 24 inch thighs. Very difficult to fit, and would love to see a subcategory for these types of stockings, as it’s so disappointing when I get stockings that don’t quite fit!
Monica— The best thing to do when you’ve got a specific sizing question is drop us a line though our Contact Page, we love helping people find their perfect socks! There are so many leg shape and foot size combinations that if we started specialising our collections too much it’d be overwhelming.
So I don’t spam our comments I’m actually going to send you an email with some more options that might work for you, but in general our tinier footed Dreamers are all digging our Dreamer Socks line, and we’ve found that the Extraordinaries stretch up to about 27 inches!
