Warmer Hands
I may be one of the most sock-obsessed people I know but I recently realized that my latest (past few years) obsession has been with hand warmers. I wear them every day at this time of year and during most mornings for much of the rest of the year to keep the chill away.
Although I have the option of keeping a pair of everything we sell, I usually don’t want most things in every color… except these, and several other warmers. Not that I actually do have any of those in every color but I gladly snagged the latest shade of the Wool Fingerless gloves when I saw them.
The shade previously known as merlot is now purple marled and you can see here just how very different they are, both are beautiful, but definitely not at all the same.
There was some uncertainty as to how we would handle these, nevermind they arrived when we were at our holiday busiest this month… a time when taking pictures of sock-like goodness is hard to accomplish, between being so busy with orders coming in and going out and very limited daylight & presence of mind. But I was able to fit these in and am enjoying their warmth even as I type this.
I idn’t find this particular pair to be very itchy, but some of these wool warmers are until they are washed. I usually just use some shampoo and my favorite smelling condition softens them nicely.
Right after New Years we will be adding even more yummy gloves and warmers…
I can hardly wait to get my mitts on them!!!

The Wool Fingerless Glove colours make me wish I could wear wool! I love the halo of frosty grey the Purple Marl has.

me too! not sure I captured it in the images… when plum was suggested I thought that was perfect because they have that greyish coating before you wipe them… but purple marl is more to the point =)

ok so now the obvious question from me is: since these are SD label….and they are wool…..do you think we might be getting some of those new SD extraordinary wool socks in this gorgeous marled purple????
cuz uumm i seem to be addicted, obsessed, crazy about wool and marled.
and although i wear hand and arm warmers most constantly except in the summer…and i adore the look of the fingerless gloves – since i wear them always – i dont like having to take them off everytime i wash so i opt out on this style and generally go for just arm warmers or the hand/arm warmers with just the thumb so you can pull the warmer up when washing hands. but i am absolutely in love with this color so i might have to go for it.

Raubynn—Sadly, the gloves are made by a different supplier of SD socks than the Extraordinaries.
Some people specialise in fingers, others in feet. You should definitely check out the Olive of the new wool Extraordinaries, there is no way to capture that marl except with your own eyeballs, it’s so pretty.
In the winter I end up pairing arm warmers, like the Harajuku Arm Warmers with fingerless gloves, I need all the warm I can get! The Wool Fingerless Gloves are the nice short kind, so it’s easier to remove them for hand washing, though.
