Delightful new Dreamer styles!
Our Dreamer Socks styles, with their super comfy cuff and surprising stretch, have quickly become a favourite with us Dreamers and all you wonderful sock lovers. This week we’re proud to introduce more delightful, dreamy styles to the line.
I’m most excited about one of our newest styles for a terribly nerdy reason. Jacquard weaving, with its innovative loom (that was basically an early computer!) is a pretty cool thing. Socks are knit, not woven, and it turns out that there is a way to knit, jacquard style! The resulting two-colour patterns have great stretch, beautiful vertical patterns and have swept all us Dreamers off our feet with love. The first jacquard style we introduced has a gorgeous vertical ripple that almost plays optical illusion-like with your eyes.
The brand-newest jacquard style the girly side of me totally squeals over, it’s all ribbons and flowers and springy colours.
What I like best about the jacquard styles is that the inside is almost like terry loops, so they’re crazy cozy, but the stretchy knit doesn’t get overwarm!
More exciting new things after the jump!
Now, our Extraordinary Thigh Highs are already pretty, well, extraordinary—with a foot that fits US Women’s shoe size 6-14 (men’s 4-12), a calf stretch of 24 inches and a cuff stretch of 27 inches! We’ve got them in Striped, we’ve got them in an even longer striped and now (drumroll please), we have our solid-coloured Extraordinary Thigh Highs in an extra-long version that goes up the very tip top of a lot of our legs and solidly over the knee on folks with larger and longer legs. May we proudly present the Extraordinarily Longer Thigh Highs!
If you’ve been looking for a true thigh high, these just might be it! They go to the tippity tops of most legs, they even hit thigh high territory on one of our plus-size testers with 27 inch thigh circumference and a 30 inch inseam, who normally can only wear thigh highs as over the knee socks. If you’ve got longer legs, they won’t go as high, but they’ll still hit respectively above the knee.
In the same theme of new versions of old favourites the wonderful Acrylic Slouch Socks should look familiar! I’ve always been a big fan of the Cotton Slouch Socks, but I may have just found a new love.
Acrylic has some of the same textures as wool, which is why it is so often blended with it. But there’s no wool in these, just super soft acrylic in bright crayon colours.
It’s so exciting how our Sock Dreams styles are growing and I cannot wait to see what we think up in the future. What new Dreamer Sock style are you most excited to try?

I’m with you. The flowering vines are beautiful! Oh, I want them!
Ever considered individual accounts for customers so we have a space where we can save socks we would like to buy in the future? So you can see what we dream about buying. So I can dump everything I dream of buying when a mega discount code comes along into the shopping basket and checkout really fast and easy..
I am really thrilled with the entire Dreamer selection because, for me, the fit is better. they hug your legs and feet with no sag at the ankles and you can wear them with dressier shoes that need a more fitted sock. They are super comfortable, too! The new Dreamer wools are divine – i wish there was a black – but i go back to the original owoolies black to get my fix. adore those black owoolies. the ribbed ms get me through the winter but they are very snug/almost compression-y and the owoolies are looser more comfy – my favorite most perfect sock- most worn sock i guess i should say. i love some of my socks so much but dont wear them that often – my black owoolies are in constant circulation. the Dreamer woolies are a thinner, more fitted version that can be dressed up with fancy shoes. i LOVE the cotton slouch socks – it took me a long while to try them out but once i did, i was hooked. im ordering the adorable new flowering vines dreamers – love all the color choices! Also, the Dreamer ruffle striped are super cute and comfy – would love more color options on these too – but i am a hog….sorry about the LONG comment – - – Dreamer Socks Rule!!! (and so do Dream Stockings!!!)
PS – does a sock on sale mean it is disappearing?? example – the Dreamer wools?????????
PY—Customer accounts are what we’re working on right now! We like wishlists too and want to get everything just right before unveiling.

Raubynn—How could we mind such a wonderfully worded comment, no matter how long! Don’t worry about sale items, things go on sale for a multitude of reasons. It’s styles in the Zap section, like I blogged about back in November that are going away, more often than not because a style is no longer available from the supplier.
OMG just when I had promised, promised!, myself to be good and resist buying more socks after my last sockdreams tights splurge you guys had to come out with these gorgeous, gorgeous!, Flowers and Wines OTKs!!! Oooh they look so soft and the design reminds me of the Arabesque Cronerts you had way back. I know the pattern is different but they seem to have the same air to them, if that makes sense. For a fraction of the Cronerts’ price, in better color combos, and with yummier-looking texture. Well done! I just have one question before I place an order – how long are they unstretched?
the colors and the socks in real life are just so much more gorgeous than in the wonderful pictures!!!! really amazing – im gonna have to get some more colors.
oooh which color did you get? and how long do they come up?
Sena—They are kind of reminiscent of the Arabesques! Unstretched the Jacquard Flowering Vine are 22 inches from heel to top of cuff. That places them firmly in OTK territory, we’ve found they go (and stay) above the knee on most legs that have tried them (even mine! and socks fall down on me all the time). They’re amazing cuffed knee highs if they don’t go over your knee.
Raubynn—I know, right?! I don’t normally have more than one pair of a style unless it’s a “basic”, solid colour, but they’re tempting me!
i got the hemp/black (for me) and the blue (for my niece). they come up 24 inches on my leg – thats like 4 inches above my knee. the cuff on top is super niceand soft and the sock hugs sweetly and no tightness at all (no dents). stay up perfectly on me. my calf is about 12.5 inches around. i want to try the pomegranite/anthracite now!
PS thats 24 inches from heel to above the kneee.
Thanks guys! Sounds like those should be OTK on me too then. Hemp/black has been ordered! Weeee
))))).
Next on my “try to resist try to resist” list are the Brown and Pomegranate Jacquard Ripple. The combo looks awesome on my screen and they seem pretty much thigh high.
I always found “teal” a very strange colour (sometimes it’s a greenish blue, somtimes it is a green with a hint of blue)… The teal of the extraordinarily longer is similar to the OBasic teal. that is really more a dark green?
Got them! Definitely in OTK territory – they come to generous 4in above my knee too. They’re very nice! I just might have to get a few more colors
.
Sean – YAY! happy to hear you feel the same about the length.
they are like sweaters for your legs!
they are in the addictive category for sure.
oops i typo-ed your name
SENA – soryy!! i scatter/flip letters when using my laptop. gggrrr.
Haha no worries, one of my collaborators is named Sean and since a huge chunk of my work involves exchanging emails with my work group, I’m used to the mix up. Sometimes I accidentally sign my own emails as Sean!
And lol @ “sweaters for your legs”! So true! Im going to wear them for the 1st time on Sat for my “graduation” celebration with a short plaid brown/black skirt that matches the two tones of the socks perfectly. Might post photos on the FB page.
Please do post photos! We love seeing how folks rock our socks, especially because everyone’s sense of fashion is so fun and unique.
I’m so stoked to hear that I’m not the only one falling madly in love with the Flowering Vine OTKs!!
