Back to School!
Last year I blogged some socks that work well for school uniforms. To make it easier to find plain socks that one can match to uniform colours, we now have a Solid Collection. It’s “just the socks, ma’am,” no patterns or stripes, just flat knit, cables and other single-colour socks. We’ve got some new styles to go with the basics too!

Of course, not everybody is still in school or have family who is. And there’s a lot more about going back to school than uniforms! We’ve got some fun school-themed socks after the jump.
What if you just want to get into the back-to-school mood? I bet the Extra-Long School Girl Socks by Tabbisocks or the School Days Crew might do the trick.
I know that even though I’m well out of school, I still love looking at all the displays of school supplies. I mean, who doesn’t need a fresh new pencil or a notebook, just waiting to be written in?

One thing I miss is that even though I never really got back-to-school clothes as a kid, that time of year meant new shoes! Which, these aren’t shoes, but they do a really good job of it for socks.

Thanks for pointing that out DS! We’re getting into a rush as we enter the beginnings of the Halloween season and—combined with how I’ve always thought of the Back Up Midcalf as a “cowboy boot” sock—means it snuck in.
A much more socially acceptable sock has replaced my goof.

I love the themed Sock It To Me knee highs for school – there are science ones (space, chemistry), art themes (Starry Night, Chat Noir, camera midcalves), foreign language and culture, (Bonjour!, sugar skulls, gummi baeren for German class), scholarly argyle, and every teacher’s savior, coffee beans! The whale and ship would be great for lit class, and I got the crow socks for my English teacher brother in law – close enough to Poe’s raven.

Allie, you’re right! I always think of Sock It To Me socks as Miss Frizzle kind of themed socks, perfect for teacher and student alike!

I have recently discovered your site (which I INSTANTLY fell in love with!) and began looking through old blog posts. I am currently looking for pairs of socks to go with a summer camp counselor job I just scored and your solids collection is the jackpot! I look forward to narrowing down my search for the perfect navy-blue beauties
