I used my standing mixer, yes (a KitchenAid), with the paddle attachment (not the whisk and not the dough hook, the other one).  I wasn&#039;t dyeing socks (it was a scarf) but I didn&#039;t have any issues with tangling.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[I have, when dyeing things in the past, thrown them in my mixer on low speed so I didn&#039;t have to agitate them the whole time. It worked great as long as I had enough water/dye to keep the item submerged (although I did have to throw a towel over the mixer to keep it from splattering).]]></description>
