I’ve still been loyally reading the sock journal even though life has taken over a bit and I haven’t posted in a while!

I was so excited to see the footless fishnets back in stock (and now in white too)! All you have to do is walk through the mall and you can see that one of the big fashion statements for fall is peep-toe shoes. I can see these footless fishnets becoming a staple in my wardrobe for the coming months, because I personally hate having my toes covered when they’re showing. You could even throw leg warmers on top of the footless fishnets with a nice simple black peep-toe wedge for a cute look (does it show that I’ve been working in a shoe store the past few months?). I think the fishnets are a bit more dressy than just plan footless tights.

These fishnets in particular fit me so well. They’re not tight and clingy…they’re really soft and kind of just fall against your skin, along the curves of your knee and calf. My hips and waist area are still swollen as I’m recovering from surgery, but they still fit extremely comfortably up top…again they didn’t feel tight at all…they were just right with a good amount of stretch to them. They’re also quite durable. I didn’t worry much about snagging them. The bottom band stayed in place really well, so no worries about them rolling up on you either.

I love them so much I’m probably going to end up getting them in the white too.

In addition to being mangled beyond belief, the sneakers are also two sizes too big but the sentimental packrat in me couldn’t let go of them. Paired with the rainbow anklet toe toe socks, they almost have an “I meant to do that!” look. They’ll be fun to revive when all the snow disappears and it warms up a bit.

I was never big on anklets because once I shove my feet in most shoes, they disappear and I can’t enjoy them…but these Toe Toe socks are amazing whether you can see them or not! Just the ‘barely there’ feeling of them, almost like a second skin covering your toesies, keeping them dry and comfy. I was really impressed with how well they stretched and clinged to my feet and the lack of seams also helps to ensure comfort.

These will surely make for some very happy toes.

After being sick the past couple weeks and in & out of the hospital it’s so nice to be better! I was going through sock withdrawls. My biggest complaint in the hospital was that they give you these SUPER scratchy stiff little bootie socks with uncomfortable treads on the bottoms. I yelled multiple times, “You call THESE socks!?” And while people tried to assure me the socks were the least of my worries, I couldn’t help it. I’ve been spoiled by my sock family here. I’m used to the finer things in life, like the shag slipper socks

They’ve been keeping my feet nice and toasty while I’m laying in bed. So nice and soft! They streched comfortably over my feet though tend to slip a bit when I’m walking across the hardwood floors in my house. They collected the dust and fuzz on the hardwood floors so I don’t even have to sweep now! My cats are also big fans of them and crawl into bed with me to attack the fuzzy things on my feet.

These are definately a must-have

The O Marled socks are the perfect way to keep your legs warm this winter! They’re so toasty and comfy and soft that I’ve even made a habit of sleeping in them. Pulled all the way up, they hit me about mid-thigh (without being tight or constricting at ALL) and stayed right where I put them without garters. But if you’re swinging on the swings at the park, I suggest folding and scrunching them down a bit if you want better leverage to swing higher

The size small fit my 8.5 feet fine and they hugged my legs nicely from heel to thigh without being loose anywhere. The thick, marled yarn is so unique but at the same time feels almost classic for a winter wardrobe. I love them in black, but I do think the fawn is calling my name.

Good thing the holidays are coming up. I’ve already been asked what I want for Christmas, and when I reply “SOCK!” I always get: “No, really! What do you want?” Some people just don’t get it

They have a good amount of stretch…they fit really nicely with room to spare. I liked the looser fit with much scrunch-ability potential. The multicolored stripes are beautiful up close in person. With the variety of colors they can pretty much be worn with anything…but I like letting my socks or leg warmers be the focal point. These seemed to really catch people’s eye.

I usually hate the colder weather, but with such great products coming in to keep me warm, I’m welcoming the winter this year

Personally I like them because I shoot photos outside when it’s cold, and even some fingerless gloves make it harder to work the camera, but these were lightweight enough without sacrificing my warmth. The ends of them kind of hug your fingertips to keep the rest of your fingers warm. I can pull them up just below my elbows but they look really sweet scrunched up at the wrist, too. I barely take them off as it is. I’m probably going to have to stock up for when I wear these out

Fidalgo just wanted me to let you know how much he loves the green knees. Though, he pretty much likes any socks that bring out his eyes the way that shade of lime does. He was purring up a storm, rubbing his face up against the socks like they were coated in catnip. He liked that they were looser at my ankles so he could nuzzle up to them. They also protected me nicely from his back claws, as he has a compulsive desire to knead his paws on my legs They don’t come in kitty sizes, but they fit my 8.5 feet perfectly. Maybe one day I’ll find Fidalgo some socks of his own to wear, but for now he’s content to drool on mine.

Now thanks to Sock Dreams my toes can be both warm *and* fashionable. In this shot (that my friend snuck while I was laying on the floor of my studio) I’m wearing the cotton slouch socks with the skater stripes on top, scrunched down a bit (I’ll usually wear the slouch socks on top though).

The slouch socks are such great staples to have (and for the price you can stock up on a variety of gorgeous colors!). They stay up nicely at my knees and as the name implies, have good slouch-ability too. The skater stripes are just an all-around comfy, lightweight sock…not too clingy but not loose either. And as a person that tends to wear a lot of black, I like having that little punch of color to break up the darkness and brighten things up.

The two tone skater stripes in orange paired with the tangerine slouch sock is a great combo for Halloween

When I first took them out of the package I was a little confused because they looked so short, and I thought, “I can’t pull those up to my knees without stretching them out completely!” But I was able to pull them up to my knees and they didn’t stretch out at all. Though, after walking around for a while they liked to hang out best around mid-calf on me and I found myself stopping to tug them back up every once in a while. I didn’t mind because they’re just so soft and slinky. I usually like looser socks, but these hug your feet and legs comfortably without being confining.

At the end of the day I let them slink down to my ankles and slept in them. I woke up without any elastic imprints on my legs and they stayed right where I put them, even with how much I toss and turn.

I like how the moonrock has almost a zebra thing going on. It’s a nice variation when you want to spice up the average black & white stripes.

I’ve been playing in the leaves outside all day in my neon yellow M40s, and they kept me nice and warm while also looking quite adorable (if I do say so myself) paired with a black sweater & skirt. I was able to comfortably pull them up the entire length of my legs and then some. I didn’t have any trouble keeping them up when I had the top ribbing folded down to about mid-thigh, even when I was leaping into giant piles of leaves in the neighbor’s yard My toes even had plenty of wiggle room in the feet. I think they’re best described as a warm, fluffy comfort sock.

I’m SO happy with the M40s. Neon yellow is a color I’d normally think twice about getting, but it’s absolutely gorgeous and you’re guaranteed to turn heads in them.
