Emerald City Comic Con
Events season 2013 kicks off with a visit to the Emerald City. No, not the one in the Wizard of Oz books! This is the name that has affectionately been given to the lovely city of Seattle. We are stoked to be vending at Emerald City Comic Con this year! Not only will there be insane-o celebrity guests, such as Carrie Fisher, Gillian Anderson, Felicia Day, Wil Wheaton, both Adam West and Burt Ward, Christopher Lloyd, Sir Patrick Stewart AND my personal favorite: Mr. Billy Dee Williams.

There will also be several major comic book writers and artists at this event, plus tons of celebrity voice actors. ECCC has been going strong since it was founded in 2003 by Jim Demonakos, and its attendance has skyrocketed, with last year’s attendance being 53,000 geeks, nerds, and other lovers of pop culture. That’s a LOT of socks!!! We will be bringing several of the Dreamer Socks and DreaM Stockings, including our newest styles like the Dreamer Diamond Waves and the Dreamer Tartan OTKs, as well as some of the classics you know and love, all at our special event prices. We will also be bringing several event-only products that feature some of our favorite Marvel and DC heroes… If you’re going to be at Emerald City (March 1st-3rd), come on by Booth 102 to sign up for discount codes and grab one of our new Geek Girl stickers. Hope to see you there!!!

Love love LOVE!
We are a few days into a new month, complete with a new theme and a new newsletter due to be shipped soonly through the virtual tethers that connect us all… Have you signed up yet? They don’t go out often, mostly just once a month, and they’re filled with fun information, relevant facts and every so often we throw in a special discount code so you can get even more socks!
This year’s Valentine’s theme is slightly different from last year’s, as you can see from my signature below using last year’s version… and it will lead into a similar, yet different, theme later this month thanks to the designing magic of Olivia.

P.S. be sure to check out our Valentine’s collection, we didn’t go in for many novelty socks this year, just a sweet collection of our favorites plus some special edition Gumball Poodle LOVE socks for fun.

Holiday Shipping
Holiday deadlines are approaching faster than a sled down a snowy hill, but don’t panic! We’re here to help you get your gifts shipped as efficiently as possible.
Please keep in mind that December is by far the busiest time of year for both Sock Dreams and USPS. We always do our best to get all orders out the door within 24 hours, but because the post office is also being flooded with mail from around the world, shipping times WILL increase the further we get into December. The simple trick here is to place your order early and select the right shipping method for your needs.
If you’re shipping within the U.S. and hoping for an order to arrive by December 24th, our free first-class shipping should be speedy enough to cover you through December 18th.
Priority shipping gives you an extra day or so of wiggle room; you can safely order with Priority through December 19th for delivery by the 24th.
By December 20th, we highly recommend that you opt for 2-Day Express if you want to be absolutely sure that the package will be delivered by the 24th.
At this point in the season, our international customers will want to select Priority or Express International shipping for all orders with a holiday due date. Unfortunately, we cannot control how long Customs may hold on to an order during inspection, but placing your order with Priority/Express International shipping can often expedite the package’s transit through Customs.
Even slightly belated gifts will still be appreciated, so don’t let tricky shipping times ruin the fun and joy of your holidays. And remember– if you’re down to the wire and you’ve completely run out of time to ship anything, there’s always our e-gift cards, which are emailed to your recipient immediately!
More information about our shipping options can always be found on our shipping information page, and we encourage you to contact us at any time with questions about shipping, gift orders, or anything else!
