Because I adore toe socks I couldn’t resist five toed tights. They take a little longer to put on even than regular toe socks because there is no quick sliding your toes through nylon (I wish they came in cotton!). But once they are on they feel pretty great. Reinforced toes and a special weave for the areas that need extra support or to breathe. Like all toesock-type items they keep your toes apart resulting in less sweat and your toes never get cramped, not even at the end of the day (unless you stuffed them into narrow shoes of course, but why would you do that?).
We can get these in more colors, currently we just have black, teal and plum… and the pantyhose version comes in tones that are closer to skin color. Both are perfect for showing off your toes modestly while wearing any sort of footing that divides any of your toes or is open toed. And yes, they come at a price, but really, you wouldn’t want a cheap version would you, they would just be covered in runs up all five toes, yuck!
Well, I don’t expect every one to love these, but if toe socks are your thing I highly recommend these! and if you would like to see more colors let us know which and we just might add them.

Before a couple of years ago I had all but given up on wearing tights. Even queen size hose were pretty iffy, unless I was looking for something that barely fit my thighs, bagged out at my ankles and feet, but could be pulled up to my armpits. I am near the smaller end of the plus size spectrum, about a size 16-18, but still there just aren’t a lot of options out there. Then Niq asked me to try the Foot Traffic Combed Cotton tights. I was skeptical, but I obliged. They fit, actually fit, curves, thighs, tush and all, and did not end up being an almost body suit! I was soooooo excited.
Then came word that we were going to be able to order a plus size version.
OVER THE MOON! Because even though the regular size is amazing, I was almost maxing out the stretch, the waist band rolled a bit, and the thighs did tend to wear out faster than I hoped.

It’s Monday morning again…
I’m sitting here in my fuzzy purple slippers, wishing I had another cup of coffee (I’ve had one and will have another after I get to work and help pull the morning orders).
I am finally trying the new split toned tights that Foot Traffic was nice enough to send us samples of. I had a few girls here try them a couple of weeks ago and got our pictures ready so we could order them in. We love them, but they are not as super stretchy as the solid tights FT makes (those are amazing, and yes, we have convinced them to make a truly plus sized version of those, more to come as that story wwwelops!). So I put my pair on this morning, the hold up was that I knew exactly what I wanted to wear them with but the weather hasn’t suited me for wearing it in the past two weeks and now that I am I have decided I love these tights! a totally new way to wear an otk without it ever falling down. I’ll be putting on tall black boots and heading out the door shortly. When I get back this afternoon I’ll work on finishing the batch of photos we took at the end of last week so that you can get to the tie dyed bamboo crews and cotton slouch socks, plus at least a few other goodies I should have edited over the weekend. Where does all the time go???

I am finally trying the 5 toed tights…
no, that is not me in the image, it is my stunt double Dara
…in one of my favorite images from the past few weeks.
So far I totally love these! they aren’t a cotton tight, which would be pretty nice to have as well and still may happen. These are soft and fairly opaque on me, can’t see my tattoos through them at all, of course they are my ankle, maybe if they were on a wider part of my leg they would show. They remind me a bit of support hose because they hug and shape in a very pleasant way. I just wish it was warmer today so I could be showing them off more, I love the way they make my legs look and it would be so fun to be wearing flip flops right now (hurry up and go away already winter!).

It has snowed every day for nearly a week now with more due.
This being our busiest week online I was grateful for everyone braving the elements every day to keep the socks flowing out our door & into your homes.
Saturday was the last big day for shipping, and the forecast calls for freezing rain and ice so I announced first thing Saturday morning that Sunday is a snow day for us, no one will be working in our warehouse and our store will be closed. Yes, this should be a huge weekend for our store, not in the ice though, the roads will not be safe, the news keeps telling us so. Stay home if you were gonna come see us because we’re not there.
Don’t worry, we will be back on Monday, all bundled up and ready to go…
If you need your socks by Wednesday they best be shipped 2 day express, or picked up at our store, we’ll be there til 4 on Wednesday. Well, we won’t actually be there personally, our vacation starts after we get caught up on Monday!!! But we’ll have plenty of Sock Dreamers on hand to get you your socks & other dreamy goodies.
Happy Winter Solstice!!!
