Colours for St Patrick!
Shamrocks and their luck are traditional symbols for St. Patrick’s day and their bonny green is associated with the holiday as well.
• Snappy Shamrock Garters •
• Lucky Knee Highs •
• Sock It To Me Clover •
Thanks to our colour search, you can find lots of green styles to satisfy any anti-pinching needs. The Green Knees are a great start, and you can find a grassy shade in a lot of the knees styles.
From top: Green Knees in Black, Green Knees in Kelly, Green Knees in Purple, Green Knees in Fuchsia, Orange Knees in Kelly, Pink Knees in Lime.
There’s a lot of history behind what colour you wear on St. Patrick’s day. Some folks wear orange, a colour you also see on Ireland’s flag. We offer a lot of oranges, from rusty shades to crayon brights.
• Extraordinarily Longer Thigh High •
• Harajuku Arm Warmers •
• Opaque Tights •
Recently (like I mentioned last year) we see folks sporting rainbows and gold.
• Rainbow Piano Knee High •
• Metallic Leggings •
• Over The Rainbow Thigh Highs •
But did you know that St. Patrick and Ireland used to be symbolised by hues of blue? From the sky tints of history to the richer shades used today, “St. Patrick’s blue” is still found in modern symbols.
• Cotton Slouch Socks •
• O Basics •
• OTK Tubes •
So many colours to pick from! But no matter what you choose, have a happy St. Patrick’s day!
From top: N Stripes in Royal & Light Blue, N Stripes in Red & Orange, N Stripes in Kelly & Lime, O Tie Dyed.

Wonderful winter colour wheels
I really love doing colour wheels. Maybe it’s the sorting, maybe it’s that they’re pure fun, but mostly I think it’s because we have some pretty luscious socks and this is a great way to show them off. I’d almost say that each one of our styles is as unique as a . . . snowflake. So let the cozy, cuddly, warm and snuggly winter wheels begin!
Arm warmers and fingerless gloves do wonders in keeping you warm!
Clockwise, from top: Harajuku Arm Warmers in Navy, Fingerless Arm Cozy in Denim Blue, Alpaca Cable Hand Warmers in Steel Blue, Wool Fingerless Gloves in Robin’s Egg, Acrylic Fingerless Shorties in Peacock, Orkney Angora Wrist Warmers in Azure.
Taller socks are a wonderful layer, over tights or under pants, for that extra level of cozy!
Clockwise, from top: Long Cuffable Scrunchable Socks in Royal, Orkney Angora Over the Knees in Azure, Kimi Wool Blend OTKs in Dark Royal, OTK Tube Socks in Royal, Long Cuffable Scrunchable Socks in Navy, Faux Fur Cuff Knee Highs in Sapphire.
Shorter socks can keep your toes snug, with warm wool and fabulous fuzzies!
Clockwise, from top: Gregorio Wool Bootsocks in Denim, Rainbow Striped Wooly Socks in Jean, M Bootsocks in Navy, New Zealand Bed Socks in Navy, ToeToe Walking Socks in Navy & Grey, Dahlgren Hiking Midcalf in Atmosphere.
Even tiny toes can be spared from the cold!
Clockwise, from top: B.Ella Stimolo Baby Bootie in Light Blue & White, B.Ella Baby Teddy Booties in Blue Marl, B.Ella Katy Striped Wool Baby Socks in Denim, Baby Wool Socks in Navy, Argyle Baby Booties in Denim, Dottie Polka Dot Baby Socks in Light Blue with White Dots.
There’s no need for fingers and toes to go blue from the cold, not when lots of toasty options exist already in those shades.

Fall colours!
Somehow, with all the colour wheels I’ve done, I’ve totally missed doing one for fall! And although the official first day of fall isn’t until September 22nd this year, I’m already feeling a chill in the morning. So quick, before the leaves fall off the trees, let’s take in some fabulous fall colours. Let’s follow how the trees change colour, from green to red and the warm shades in between!
from left to right:
• O Basics in Hunter •
• Portland Knee Highs •
• N Stripes in Kelly & Lime •
from left to right:
• Wool Fingerless Gloves in Daffodil •
• Brigid Striped Over the Knee •
• Heidi Over the Knee in Mustard •
from left to right:
• Bess Cashmere Blend Ribbed Slouch Socks in Rust•
• Candy Corn Stripes •
• Cesare Cashemere Blend Dot Socks in Rust w/Brown •
from left to right:
• Foot Traffic Signature Cotton Tights in Burgundy •
• Space Dyed Terry Shorties in Burgundy •
• Extraordinary Striped Thigh Highs in Pomegranate and Burgundy •
I personally never want summer to end, but I have to say I won’t regret colder temperatures opening up the world of thick, cuddly socks for me again! There’s lots more fall socks to choose from in our Autumn collection, where there’s also lots of great back to school options.

Socks to the moon!
Space! We’re all pretty into outer space here at Sock Dreams, so a nerdy memorial day like the first moon landing July 20th in 1969 is pretty up our alley. Since we’ve recently looked at star socks, I thought I’d mix it up a little. So I put together some “colour” wheels of styles we carry that come in grey. It’s amazing how many shades of grey there are!
Let’s start with our most basic grey styles!
Clockwise from top: O Basics in Charcoal, O Basics in Grey, Solid Opaque Thigh High in Graphite, Extraordinary Thigh Highs in Charcoal, Extraordinary Thigh Highs in Grey, Bright Basic Tabi Socks in Grey
The moon isn’t smooth, so here are some great textured options.
Clockwise from top: Textured Cable Acrylic OTKs in Grey, Four Button Ribbed Leg Warmers in Charcoal, Cotton Slouch Socks in Charcoal, Diamond Rib Knee Highs in Charcoal, At Cross Over the Knee in Grey, Acrylic Slouch Socks in Silver Grey
Sure, the moon doesn’t have patterns or stripes, but what goes better with grey than more grey, or deep-space black?
Clockwise from top: O Chevrons in Charcoal & White, O Chevrons in Charcoal & Black, Foot Traffic Floral Tights in Platinum, Shaggy Stripe Leggings in Black & Grey, Super Stripes in Charcoal & Grey, Kayla Stripe Trouser Socks in Grey.
And for general out-of-this world grey, check out the 100 Inch Super Ruched in Grey. They may not be long enough to get you all the way to the moon, 100 inches are only about 8 feet of sock, but—wait a second! Eight feet is a LOT. Maybe not space travel distance, but a lot for a sock!
Grey is a little more exciting than you’d expect. Maybe not as exciting as the moon, but close.

Soft Spring Rainbows!
The association of Easter and fresh spring blooms makes this time of year all about pastels. I love putting these seasonal colour wheels together, even when there’s barely any colour involved.
Let’s start with pastel ruffles, for feet and a bit higher up . . .
clockwise from top: Textured Stripe Knee High in Pink, Micromesh Lace Ruffle Tanga Short in Light Blue, Puffy Chiffon Mini Petticoat in White w/Pink, Textured Stripe Knee High in White, Micromesh Lace Ruffle Tanga Short in Pink
More pretty pastels after the jump! Read more »
